This game makes your classroom into a map and your students into points on the map for practicing geography terms.
Objective: Students internalize geography terms.
Material requirements: Tables and chairs.
Tables or chairs represent specific objects on a map such as continents, oceans, countries, or cities. Say to the children, “Each of you represent a specific thing.” Tell them what they are. When you tell them to “go,” they move and stand in their thing’s correct location in relation to each other and to the oceans, continents, or countries represented by the tables and chairs.
